Olympic C# Developer - Altmore IT Exclusive
Salary £37-39k + package
Interviews in 1-2 weeks
I'm leading an urgent search for a Senior C# Developer to work on true greenfield platform development for a global tech company specialising in adaptive data solutions and aggregation with an unserving commitment to quality and a stellar reputation for delivering results on-time every-time. The product will be developed across three sites - Belfast and two worldwide sites. Belfast will own the work and be responsible for the system ‘platform’ and will be developing the core architecture and plug-in framework on which the other two sites depend.
The product itself will be an enterprise level system that collects and aggregates data. It will interoperate with different information systems like workflow management systems, image management solutions, and picture archiving and communications systems.
The project is still in the very early stages, with the first release due to be in 2011, with almost all the design and development taking place in Belfast.
Anyone joining at this time will have a good opportunity to get in on the ground floor and to influence the direction of the design. This position will be a great fit for someone with a flair for software design who still likes to be involved at the code level but likes a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.
You will be working on what is essentially a new product using Microsoft technologies and get the opportunity to learn about WPF, WCF, SQL Server 2008 etc. I'm open to talking to those already using the Microsoft stack, and also those from a Java / OO background with a little .NET or would like to make the jump.
I will be arranging interviews in the next one or two weeks. For an initial discussion in total confidence please drop me an email to stuart dot millar at altmore dot co dot uk or send your CV via this site. The timeline is fairly short so the quicker the better. With Altmore IT you can find out first what is happening at ground zero and what new career opportunities are on the horizon as the recovery starts to happen. Feel free to add my IM address altmorestuart at hotmail dot co dot uk to chat to me from your desk too as I know it can be hard to talk on the phone.
Because of our knowledge of and experience in the N.I. IT skills market, and the depth and breadth of our candidate relationships, we are frequently invited to meet with potential IT and technology investors looking at setting up or expanding sites here. Frequently these companies will have skill profiles that they'd potentially like to hire for in N.I. Since these profiles are not yet "live" jobs, we are unable to advertise them. However, if we can demonstrate that the people with the skills are here, often the companies will be tempted to open a site. Those candidates who we may have introduced speculatively as part of the attraction process are usually at a distinct advantage when it comes to filling any new jobs. If you'd like to be kept aware of new developments like this, that are below the radar and not advertised, please contact us and we can arrange a meeting.
We are acting as an Employment Agency for this role.
