Job description:

Delivery / Engagement Manager - Next Big Thing
Salary £Excellent + Package
I am leading a search for an Delivery / Engagement Manager of the highest quality to join one of Europe’s fastest growing and most promising product companies that is on the cusp of greatness. Based in Belfast they develop and implement web and internet based information management applications and have 40-50 key customers currently. They’ve just secured a significant amount of funding from government and banking sources and with several well known and respected Northern Irish and Irish business and technology individuals advising the firm recently, 2010 is set to be their most exciting year yet.

You will be the leading the management of customer accounts in the Professional Services organisation, and recommending business solutions to existing and unforeseen customer issues through upselling of the software product suite. A fascinating part of the role is analysing a customer requirement in-depth, creating a new product idea and seeing it through from white paper and production – and then upselling the new idea to other customers. I’m after someone who is a self-starter. Reporting directly to Business Development Director you will work with the existing business model and manage two professional services engineers to deliver world class service, support and upselling functions and identify professional services opportunities for the company. You will be the interface between the clients and the engineering team, generating revenue through the aforementioned, and decide how to allocate resources to execute a defined engagement. There will be some travel as well to UK and Ireland sites.

Ramping up the utilisation of their now recently turned modular software suite is a major objective, as is the integration of their suite with social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Theres an Engagement model / framework that has been drawn up by some of the best minds in these fields that can be used for each case, and is time pressured with milestones. Ultimately, seven figure sales figures are the aim in the next 12 months.

I am looking for a top level person who can point to working on previous successful projects as an Engagement Manager. You will be truly customer focused and with exceptional evidence of unerring results, high productivity and meeting deadlines. These projects ideally will have been around prioritizing and managing issues of accounts that use a suite of web based platforms but this is not a deal breaker by any means. Most importantly, persistence is vital. My client will accept nothing but the best and the MD is looking for true longterm buy-in from the successful individual. There is also scope to be involving the hiring process in the future. This buy-in is evident in the package prepared, with a strong bonus and reward scheme, plus a share option pool that is very attractive.

A famous actor once said – “Lunch is for wimps”, and the sequel to that film is in production with a working title of “Money never sleeps”. Whilst my client are nowhere near as impersonal as Wall Street they are no less driven and expectations are just as high. If you think you can match them, for an initial discussion in total confidence please drop me an email to stuart dot millar at altmore dot co dot uk or send your CV via this site. The timeline is fairly short so the quicker the better. With Altmore IT you can find out first what is happening at ground zero and what new career opportunities are on the horizon as the recovery starts to happen. Feel free to add my IM address altmorestuart at hotmail dot co dot uk to chat to me from your desk too as I know it can be hard to talk on the phone.

Because of our knowledge of and experience in the N.I. IT skills market, and the depth and breadth of our candidate relationships, we are frequently invited to meet with potential IT and technology investors looking at setting up or expanding sites here. Frequently these companies will have skill profiles that they'd potentially like to hire for in N.I. Since these profiles are not yet "live" jobs, we are unable to advertise them. However, if we can demonstrate that the people with the skills are here, often the companies will be tempted to open a site. Those candidates who we may have introduced speculatively as part of the attraction process are usually at a distinct advantage when it comes to filling any new jobs. If you'd like to be kept aware of new developments like this, that are below the radar and not advertised, please contact us and we can arrange a meeting.

We are acting as an Employment Agency for this role.
